Gasprom has done extremely well financially in 2022. Natural resources in Russia are the property of the people so any gas or oil that Russia sells, a part of the profit goes into the public coffers and get used for the benefit of the people of Russia. This pays the pensions of the elderly and it pays for public works projects.
In spite of the military efforts in Ukraine, Russia is flush with money for public works projects.
Kimovsk has certainly been able to benefit from this. This year alone we got new water lines, new sewer lines, new sidewalks and a major park and tower renovation.
Tower Park is certainly the jewel of Kimovsk.
A big shout out to the people who follow me. Unfortunately I’ve had to leave Russia. It became impossible to receive any funds from the US. I am currently living in Batumi, Georgia.
This is my family in the living room of my apartment in Kimovsk, Russia. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. Seventy six years of age. My son Aleksandr (left), and my granddaughter Dasha (center) look in on me. Here, I had hoped to live out my retirement years.
