I’m in a sidewalk cafe having an unneeded pastry and a coke.
The locals are discussing geopolitics. Now I don’t speak Georgian, but certain words like American, Israel, Ukraine, Hamas tend to stick out in the conversation.
One man who spoke Russian quite well explained to me that American NGO’s like USaid are pouring money into Georgia trying to influence our government.
He said, We’ll take their money but then we’ll do whatever is best for Georgia.

I see that USaid advertises heavily.
A big shout out to the people who follow me. Unfortunately I’ve had to leave Russia. It became impossible to receive any funds from the US. I am currently living in Batumi, Georgia.
This is my family in the living room of my apartment in Kimovsk, Russia. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. Seventy six years of age. My son Aleksandr (left), and my granddaughter Dasha (center) look in on me. Here, I had hoped to live out my retirement years.
