Today I went to the Nobel Technological Museum, in the old port section of Batumi.
BRANOBEL OFFICE
The building was built as an office of the Branobel company in the late 19th century. It belonged to known oil owners the brothers Ludwig and Robert Nobel.
They were the pioneers of the transit oil business in the Caucasus. The society transported Caspian oil products through Batumi to Europe.
The contribution of Nobel brothers to the development of Batumi as a city is very high. They participated in the construction of the oil terminal and port, the Baku-Tbilisi-Batumi kerosene pipeline and the construction of the Baku-Batumi railway.
Since 2007, the building has being housing the Nobel Brothers Technology Museum.
A big shout out to the people who follow me. Unfortunately I’ve had to leave Russia. It became impossible to receive any funds from the US. I am currently living in Batumi, Georgia.
This is my family in the living room of my apartment in Kimovsk, Russia. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. Seventy six years of age. My son Aleksandr (left), and my granddaughter Dasha (center) look in on me. Here, I had hoped to live out my retirement years.
