I took a long peaceful walk today on Lennena ulitsya. It was quiet and peaceful. Big oak trees shade the street.
For an extended block the street is lined with photos honoring Tula fallen heroes of the special military operation.
About fifty six of them in all. A terrible price to have to pay because people like Hunter Biden want to do unspeakably bad things in Ukraine.
Yet for a city this size it a tiny amount. Probably not enough to deter those tempted by a sizable enlistment bonus.
There is a sign that says, “SERVING IN THE ELITE 106th ONE TIME PAYMENT 450,000 RUBLE
NATIVE ALIVE 106- TO ENLIST DAIL 117”
A big shout out to the people who follow me. Unfortunately I’ve had to leave Russia. It became impossible to receive any funds from the US. I am currently living in Batumi, Georgia.
This is my family in the living room of my apartment in Kimovsk, Russia. I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. Seventy six years of age. My son Aleksandr (left), and my granddaughter Dasha (center) look in on me. Here, I had hoped to live out my retirement years.
